Hotel Express International (HEI), founded in 1987, is the world's leading global hotel discount program. We have a distributor network with around 50 national offices worldwide. We have agreements with more than 4,000 hotels in 145 countries worldwide, all giving our members 50% discount off rack rates subject to expected availability.
Hotel Express International memberships are sold and maintained via independent national or regional sales offices, through telemarketing, direct mail, business meetings and special marketing initiatives. The annual membership fee, while varying from country to country, is approximately $270 + VAT.
Our customers are frequent travelers, mostly from small and medium sized companies. Our distributors provide a free reservation service for travel abroad for their members, using our dedicated software. The quality of service offered results in an exceptionally high renewal rate of 65% to 90% in different countries. You really can build up a long term business when you have a stream of satisfied customers coming back for more.
Using our cheaper no reservation service silver card option you can also do deals with large organizations and many of our distributors work with many of the best known banks, airlines and multinational companies.
We are now offering exclusive, master licenses for distributors in several including Canada. A distributor operates as a franchisee, with memberships being sold on a royalty basis on behalf of HEI.
Opportunities in Canada
In Canada we are first and foremost looking for an exclusive distributor, but also non-exclusive distributorships will also be considered (much lower initial investment level). An exclusive distributor operates as a franchisee, with memberships being sold on a royalty basis on behalf of HEI. As an exclusive agent you can own the rights for 1 or more countries. This will allow you to set up your own sales network with either sub-distributors or sales people. You will run all aspects of Hotel Express International within your territory.

- The right to sign up your own sub dealers.
- Complete access to HEI software, handling the reservation service, registration of members, renewals and the hotel database.

- A distributor CD with logos, pictures, welcome letters, 50 free memberships, as well as readymade artwork for leaflets, pictures, logos, presentations etc.
- Free Ongoing support and assistance from HEI. We know that we only succeed if you succeed and we will be there to advise and help you as you build your exclusive distributorship in your own territory. As an exclusive agent we will also help you as much as you need or want by telephone and e-mail. If you install a free program on your computer, we can provide remote access technical assistance. You will also be called up by a person from our office for an explanation on how to sign up local hotels and you will receive our standard hotel contracts

- You are invited to visit us for training here in Norway.
- You will be given access to a website for Hotel Express agents with news, tips and lots of other useful info.
- And most important – as an exclusive agent you will be the only one allowed to sell Hotel Express in Canada. We won’t sign up any other agent. All distributor requests we get from Canada will be forwarded to you and you may sign them up as sub-distributors working for you. Even sales on our web site from Canada will be forwarded to you (minus a 15% administrative fee).
